Update on GBTA offerings and 2021 events
**We will begin the meeting at 11:30 am with announcements from each Chapter President, interactive breakouts between the Chapters followed by the presentation of Member of the Year.
Our guest speaker should begin at noon. You will receive the zoom meeting link, day of the event.

Shane Downey
Shane Downey is Vice President of Government Relations and Community Relations at The Global Business Travel Association, the voice of the $1.4 trillion business travel industry.
GBTA is the world’s largest organization representing this sector and counts among its members more than 9,000 business travel professionals across six different continents.
In addition to serving as the association’s lead lobbyist in Washington, D.C. Shane oversees GBTA’s volunteer engagement including GBTA Chapters, Committees and grassroots political activity.
He also leads GBTA’s efforts with EU official in Brussels. Shane has worked at GBTA since 2006, achieving many legislative successes and expanded the profile of GBTA on the Hill and abroad.
Prior to joining GBTA, Shane was a Senior Associate at a lobbying firm in Washington, D.C., and before that Shane worked on several Congressional Campaigns.
Shane received his B.A in History from The Ohio State University. Shane also served in the United States Marine Corp and is a Desert Storm veteran.

BEAR's doors are currently opened and is considered an essential business at this time. We are working to keep our BEAR room stocked with all the essential items.
With shortages on products like diapers, wipes, formula, and more across our city, many of the families we serve are unable to purchase the resources they need to keep their children healthy and safe.
Please consider purchasing items online Amazon list to be delivered to our doors during our business hours. If you would like to donate monetarily, click here.

The following list of items applies to all genders. BEAR asks that any donated goods remain unopened and/or have never been used (or worn)
Hygiene Packs (which include 2-in-1 shampoo/conditioner, bars of soap, individual toothbrushes and toothpaste, and deodorant – should you want to assemble your own!)
Hair care products (lice shampoo, hair ties, and hair brush/comb)
Baby Hygiene Packs (which include baby wash, baby lotion, baby powder, and diaper rash ointment – should you want to assemble your own!)
Baby wipes
Formula (all types)
Diapers (NB – size 6)
Baby items (pacifier, bib, receiving blanket, and ‘sippy’ cup)
Feminine hygiene products (pads and tampons)
Clothing of all sizes (NB – juniors)

Duffle bags/overnight bags *Children sometimes have to use trash-bags to hold their items. Together, we can make sure they have more than just a plastic bag.
Household cleaning supplies (Lysol wipes, all-in-one cleaning solution, mops, broom & dustpan set, Fabuloso, laundry detergent, dish-soap, and paper towels)
BEAR Necessities operates nine BEAR rooms throughout Harris County that provide emergency supplies all year round for children who are in CPS care.
Each month, BEAR Rooms provide approximately 1,000 abused and neglected children with essential items.
