  Event Details:
Crash Course on Gen Z -covering who Generation Z is, why the cohort is important/distinct, the difference to Millennials, how young people are shifting the marketplace.

This session will be a deep dive into Gen Z’s behavior, attitudes, language, social media usage, and passions amongst other things.

The session will also cover Gen Z reactions to the pandemic and how that will affect travel.


Tajwar Ahad & Sophia Kianni

Tajwar is an Account Director at JUV Consulting. Born and raised in Boston, he recently graduated from Northeastern University with a major in marketing and a minor in communications. At the age of 22, Tajwar may be on the ~elderly~ end of Gen Z, however he still resonates with his generation’s affinities for TikTok dances, skincare, and social justice. 


Sophia is an 18-year-old climate activist specializing in media and strategy. Her insight on trends, ranging from TikTok videos to Zoom calls, has been featured in TIME, CNN, Business Insider, and VICE. She is the founder and executive director of Climate Cardinals, an international nonprofit with over 5,000 members working to translate climate information into over 100 languages.

The following list of items applies to all genders. BEAR asks that any donated goods remain unopened and/or have never been used (or worn)

Hygiene Packs (which include 2-in-1 shampoo/conditioner, bars of soap, individual toothbrushes and toothpaste, and deodorant – should you want to assemble your own!)
Hair care products (lice shampoo, hair ties, and hair brush/comb)
Baby Hygiene Packs (which include baby wash, baby lotion, baby powder, and diaper rash ointment – should you want to assemble your own!)
Baby wipes
Formula (all types)
Diapers (NB – size 6)
Baby items (pacifier, bib, receiving blanket, and ‘sippy’ cup)
Feminine hygiene products (pads and tampons)

BEAR Necessities operates nine BEAR rooms throughout Harris County that provide emergency supplies all year round for children who are in CPS care.
Each month, BEAR Rooms provide approximately 1,000 abused and neglected children with essential items.
